ARE DRONES THE FUTURE for surveying?

We think so! When drones hit the market for land surveying a few years back we had our reservations too. From the very expensive outlay to the questionable results that were provided and don’t even get us started on accuracy.

However, like any technology time has seen some major progress in the field of drone surveys and photogrammetry outputs across the globe and here in the UK.

Our background as land surveyors has been using the traditional techniques of GPS and Total stations for the accurate output of site surveys, however after some pretty in-depth research and testing out the applications in the field we have been blown away by the advantages of surveying with drones.

Our journey has taken us down lots of rabbit holes looking into software outputs and types of drones and their ability to get the right data required for different types of clients and we are pretty happy to have joined the drone survey space.

We currently provide our clients drone surveys which give them the ability to measure volumes, cut, and fills as well as get detailed information about the progression of the work site in real-time.
